Angela Harkavy, Ani Chime: Seattle, WA, United States; I am 69 years old, mother of 6 n grandmother of 9. I was born in Brazil where I was a Journalist on natl TV for 17 years. In US was a Lobbyist for the Environment at the State Department, the Hill, the UN, 1987-1997. At the UN, I participated in the effort to create the Earth Charter and Agenda 21. Was commissioned by Maurice Strong and Michael Gorbachev, to write the Matrix used for their final document. Back to school, got a Masters degree in Itl. Affairs, GMU, n one in Depth Psychology from Pacifica Grad.Inst. In 1987 I met HH The Dalai Lama, and soon after HH Chetsang Rinpoche, Head of the Drikung Kagyu and took refuge. I raised my children and traveled extensively for work, with the help and support of husband Andrew Harkavy, a journey of 23 years. In 2007, I found out that I had an aggressive type of breast cancer. I decided to deepen my dharma practice and studies, offering my photography to document dharma and the Lineage. Then, I took the next step and became a Tibetan Buddhist Nun. I have written articles about the Environment, Buddhism and the Environment, contributed to books on International Affairs, and the Creation of the UN Commission on Sustainable Development.
